How To Get and Maintain Beautiful Hair!
Hair is just as sensitive as our skin.
Structure and fullness is dependent upon the color of our
hair. Blond hair is fine, while dark hair and red hair is more
course. One square inch of scalp contains approximately 720 hairs, which can live two to three years in the same
spot. We lose about 80 hairs per day. Hair must be brushed daily to remove dead hair, but not with a nylon brush, as this causes static electricity. Brushing stimulates circulation so
invest in a good natural bristle brush.
Hormonal changes, heredity factors and psychological factors play an important role in the health of our hair. Medications you may be taking can also affect your hair.
The washing process should remove dirt, hair scales and
extra fat from the hair. All active substances including soap can accomplish this, but unfortunately, it attacks the acid mantle of the scalp. The scalp then dries out, hair becomes straw like and falls
out. Once hair has lost its natural protection, hair becomes
dirty more quickly. Then the sebareous glands are stimulated
to increase production of sebrum which means you'll now need
a product to remove excess oil, plus you will need to shampoo more
often. This is what happens when you use commercial products.
Possibly, at some point you may need a product for a
dandruff problem, one vicious cycle, but very profitable for
cosmetic companies!
So what do you need to do to have beautiful hair?
1. Eat a healthy balanced diet. Hair and skin benefit from
the same diet. Hair needs protein.
2. Use gentle non-detergent based shampoo.
3. This is the tough one! Wash hair less frequently.
2 to 3 times a week. Summer you maybe able to wash
hair an extra time. Squeaky clean means hair has been
stripped of its natural protective oils.
4. Condition monthly with a natural Herbal Vinegar Hair Rinse.
5. Massage the scalp throughly every few days, at least
once a week.
6. Brush, Brush, Brush daily!!!!
